Mise en Scene:
- Rural community and nature, a lot of the film is based outside, the location of the film is in the Ozark mountains, Missouri.
- The costumes used are from the area, the film makers also did a 'clothes swap' with members of the local community to get the authentic, rustic looking clothes. The cast of the film are all seen wearing similar coloured clothes.
- The film used very little lighting techniques and relied mainly on natural lighting to filmiest scenes. this helps the realistic effect that the film holds all throughout.
Independant film - Low budget ($2 million), unknown actors.
